சஜித் பிரேமதாசாவை பிரதித் தலைவராக மிக விரைவில் நியமிப்பதற்கு ஜ.தே.கட்சித் தலைவர் ரணில் விக்கிரமசிங்க உறுதியளித்துள்ளார். சஜித் பிரதித்தலைவர் நியமணத்தை அடுத்து ஊவா தேர்தலில் கடுமையான பிராச்சாரத்தில் ஈடுபட உள்ளதாக தெரவித்துள்ளார்.
கடந்த வாரம் ஊவா மாகாணத்திற்குச் சென்ற சஜித் பிரேமதாச பிரச்சாரத்தில் ஈடுபடாது “பந்துல்ல தேசியா பங்காவில் விடுமுறைக் கழித்தார். தான் பிரதித் தலைவராக நியமிக்கும் வரை ஊவாவில் பிரச்சாரத்தில் ஈடுபடப்போவதில்லை என அவர் மவ்பிம பத்திரிகையில் தெரிவித்திருந்தார். அதன் பின்னர் ஜ.தே.கட்சி எம்பிக்கள் சிலர் ரணில் விக்கிரமசிங்கவிடம் சஜித்தை பிரதித்தலைவராக நியமிக்கும்படி கூட்டாக கோரிக்கை விடுத்திருந்தனர். அதில் கொழும்பு மாவட்ட பாராளுமன்ற உறுப்பினர் ரவிகருநாயக்க எதிர்ப்பு தெரிவித்திருந்தார்.
பாராளுமன்ற உறுப்பிணர் மங்கள சமரவீர உடன் லண்டனுக்குச் சென்றுள்ளார். என ஊடகங்கள் தெரிவித்துள்ளன. ஆனால் மங்கள சமரவீர அடுத்த வாரம் நான் நாடு திரும்பியதும் பிரச்சாரத்தில் ஈடுபடுவதாகவும் அவர் தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.
