கட்டார் கிளை தலைவர் முகம்மத் லாfபிர் கருத்து தெரிவிக்கையில், இந்த அங்கீகாரமானது கட்டார் கிளையின் நீண்ட கால குறிக்கோளாக இருந்ததாகவும், கட்டார் தூதரகம் மற்றும் கட்டார்வாழ் இலங்கையின் இதர சமூக அமைப்புக்களுடன் மிக நெருங்கிய தொடர்புடன் செயல்பட விரும்புவதாகவும் தெரிவித்தார். அவர் மேலும் குறிப்பிட்டதாவது, இலங்கை தூதுவரின் ஆதரவு மற்றும் வழிகாட்டல் தமக்கு மிகவும் பலத்தை அளிப்பதோடு, ஸ்டாபட் ஸ்ரீ லங்கன் பாடசாலை அதன் வளாகத்தை தமது பல்வேறு கூட்டங்களுக்கும், நடவடிக்கைகளுக்கும் ஒதுக்கி தருவதை இட்டு நன்றிகளை தெறிவிப்பதாகவும் கூறினார். திரு முகம்மத் லாfபிர் அவர்கள் ஸ்டாபட் ஸ்ரீ லங்கன் பாடசாலையின் இயக்குனர் ஆகவும் செயல்படுவது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.
ஸாஹிறா பழைய மாணவர் சங்க கட்டார் கிளையின் குறிக்கோள் ஆனது கட்டாரில் வாழும் பழைய மாணவர்களை அவர்களின் திறன் விருத்தி, பரஸ்பர நன்மை மற்றும் ஒத்துழைப்பின் ஊடாக ஒன்றினைத்து இஸ்லாமிய விழுமியன்களை பேனி பாடசாலையின் நீண்ட கால குறிக்கோள்களை அடைவதற்கான ஒரு பலம்வாய்ந்த சக்கதியாக தொழிற்படுவதாகும் என அவர் மேலும் கூறினார்.
கட்டார் பழைய மாணவர் சங்கம் ஸாஹிராவின் பழைய மாணவர் அமைப்பின் முதலாவது வெளிநாட்டு கிளை ஆகும். இது 2013 ஆம் ஆண்டு நிறுவப்பட்டதுடன் சுமார் 150 இற்கும் மேற்பட்ட அங்கத்தவர்களுடன் இயங்கி வருகிறது. கட்டார் கிளை ஸாஹிராவின் பழைய மாணவர் சங்கங்கல் மத்தியில் முன்மாதிரி கிளையாக செயற்படுவதோடு இந்த அங்கீகாரமானது அதன் நடவடிக்கைகளை மேலும் புதிய திசையில் தமது சக பழைய மாணவர்கள், ஆசிரியர்கள் மற்றும் மாணவர்கள் பக்கம் நகர்த்த உதவும் என எதிர்பார்க்கப்படுகிறது.

Zahira College – Mawanella Old Boys Association Qatar Branch officially affiliates with the Embassy of Sri Lanka
Zahira College – Mawanella Qatar OBA was officially awarded affiliation of the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Qatar by H.E. P.D.P.S.A. Liyanage on Sunday 02nd December 2018 at the Embassy premises.
The President of Zahira OBA Qatar Mr. Mohammed Lafir received the official letter of confirmation. General Secretary Ahmed Munaf, Asst Treasurer Mifrah Haniffa and Executive Committee member Abdul Malik were also present at the occasion.
Commenting on this long awaited milestone for the Qatar OBA, Mr. Mohammed Lafir, who is also a Director of the Stafford Sri Lankan School Doha said, “This is a long awaited objective of the Qatar OBA to get the affiliation of the Embassy to work more closely with the Embassy and the community in Qatar at large. We are very much thankful to his His Excellency for recognizing our efforts in Qatar and in Sri Lanka. We thank him for all the support and guidance that he provides us and also the Stafford Sri Lankan School which is a greatest asset to the community and in particular for our OBA where we utilize the premises for various meetings and activities”
“Our objective is to mobilize the multitudes of potential, talents, resources and skills of the Old Boys of Zahira College – Mawanella who are living in Qatar through friendly, mutually beneficial, networking and confining to Islamic values while collaborating and cooperating with the OBA ZCM Parent Body in a dynamic way to eventually accomplish the vision of the College” he further added.
Qatar OBA is the first overseas branch of the OBA of Zahira College Mawanella established in 2013 and operates with nearly 150 members at the moment. Qatar OBA continues to lead by example for the alumni of the College around the world. The affliation will open new horizons for the OBA to further expand its services to the students, teachers and alumni of the College.
