The project “Collective Engagement for Religious Co-existence” implements in cooperation with the Secretariat for Coordinating Reconciliation Mechanism (SCRM) and SriLanka Police. The project aims to promote religious freedom within the framework of pluralism and rule of law through educate, mobilize and advocate the target population of the project to bring more understandings and cohesive obligation to pluralism and rule of law to practice the absolute rights of citizens of SriLanka to manifest their religion and religious beliefs in order to sustain a durable peaceful coexistence in the country.
CULTURAL DIVERSITY AND PLURALISM TRAINING FOR RELIGIOUS CO-EXISTENCE
National Peace Council of Sri Lanka organized two-day workshop on Pluralism in Ampara District under the project for Collective Engagement for Religious Co-existence. The Workshop is organized on 26-27 Mar 2018 by SOND- Ampara by engaging the participation of its Local Inter Religious Committee (LIRC) members in Ampara which comprises the representation of government officers, religious leaders of different faiths, community leaders and NGOs/CSOs members to discuss about promoting Pluralism, inclusion and freedom of religion.
